Which phones are supported?

Do I need a dongle or a cable?
No. Just turn on your phone's hotspot. There's nothing else to buy.
Can I watch YouTube on my car's screen without a dongle?
Yes. Your phone's YouTube app shows up on the car screen as it is. No dongle or cable — just your phone's hotspot. Don't watch video while driving.
How is it different from Android Auto or CarPlay?
Android Auto and CarPlay only work in supported cars and only with supported apps. JONIVIEW uses the car's own web browser, so it works in cars without them and runs whatever apps are on your phone.
Is the first setup hard?
The first time only, follow the in-app guide to set up “Wireless debugging”. After that, one tap on Start connects you.
Can I watch Netflix or other streaming services?
Copy-protected (DRM) video such as Netflix shows up black on the car screen. Unprotected videos and apps like YouTube work fine.
Does it use a lot of data?
Sending the screen between your phone and car doesn't go through the internet. The videos and maps you use on your phone still use mobile data as usual.
Can I use my phone while connected?
Yes. The car screen runs separately from your phone's screen, so you can keep an app on the car and do something else on your phone.
Where does my screen go?
Only between your phone and your car, inside the same hotspot. We never send your screen to our servers or store it.
How do refunds work?
